Monitor Devices

To understand how to create dashboards and glances, see Glances Screen.

ADS enables fleets and devices to be monitored by different types of dashboards. Examples of typical dashboards are illustrated below.

Security dashboards

These dashboards focus on security KPIs, metrics and charts. They support the security team in monitoring the devices and detecting device security attacks and abnormal behaviors.

Example of security-focused dashboard:

Operations dashboards

Such dashboards cater to the Operations team that monitors the good functioning of the devices and any anomaly that can impact the device end-users if any.
These dashboard chart system and performance metrics but also device and application-specific KPIs.

Example of operations-focused dashboard:

FOTA/Upgrade/Lifecycle dashboards

These dashboards track device requests for firmware upgrades or security configuration or monitor device status for presence management.

Example of dashboard:

Product dashboards

Targeted to product managers, such dashboards would track metrics and KPIs provided by the device that describe the device performance and reliability and for example how users are interacting with the device. They help the product team to understand how to improve and new define products and product features.
These dashboards typically integrate some of operational dashboard metrics (those relating to device reliability and performance), but mostly contain device- and application-specific data, for example number of interactions with the user, duration of device use, etc.

R&D dashboards

Such dashboards focus both on security and early detection & investigation of complex bugs & malfunctions.
